THE VINTAGE
In the 2022 vintage a mild winter gave way to an early spring with cool, breezy mornings and abundant sunshine, setting up ideal conditions for the growing season. Though the summer months brought some heat spikes, careful vineyard management ensured that the vines thrived, particularly benefiting our core varietals of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and Syrah.
TASTING NOTES
Trailblazer offers an intensely layered profile with robust flavors of dark blackberry, ripe plum, and black cherry, complemented by notes of smoky oak, sweet spices, and a hint of black pepper from the Syrah. Velvety tannins balance the wine’s structure, while the Zinfandel adds a touch of lively acidityand jammy fruitiness, leading to a long, luxurious finish.
VINEYARDS:
We chose to place a California appellation on the label to maintain our “no boundaries”mantra. This vintage was crafted from the following vineyards in Sonoma County.
-Quarry Hill Vineyard (organic) Sonoma Valley AVA
-Bismark Vineyard, Moon Mountain AVA
-McLeod Ranch, Sonoma Valley AVA
